On April 16, 2020, the Launceston City Council, as landowner, decided not to support the Launceston Skyway proposal. We wish to thank the councillors and council staff for their balanced consideration of the impacts of the proposal, and for their local knowledge and care, awareness of previous consultation documents and professionalism. To our supporters, your signatures and letters really made a difference. We are proud that we all made it clear how much the Gorge matters to us.
